Ended- A severe thunderstorm is just west of Prince George and moving north is said to be producing nickel sized hail to the areas mentioned below… as of 3:10 PM.

Communities in its path include: Telachick, Mud River, Beaverly

Just a heads up for those in the Central Interior and Cariboo regions there’s the potential to see some severe storms later this afternoon due to instability in the air.

Current forecast models suggest thunderstorms could pop up between 3 pm and 9 pm tonight. Most notable during the evening between 6 pm and 9 pm.

Unfortunately the public radar system for Prince George is being replaced and there’s no other public radar for our region. Make sure to check the sky for any potential severe weather coming up from the southwest. Keep updated using the link above to the Western Canada cloud cover.
