PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Police remain on scene of a homicide investigation on Porter Ave…

Shortly after 11:00 AM on January 25, 2022, the Prince George RCMP received a request to attend the 1300 block of Porter Avenue to assist B.C. Ambulance Service with a man located there with serious injuries.

The man was transported to hospital but did not survive his injuries. Police are currently on scene at a residence on Porter Avenue while investigators gather information. The Integrated Forensic Identification Section has been contacted to assist in the investigation.

“Our Serious Crime Unit is working diligently to determine the series of events that lead us to 2022’s first homicide. Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of the victim,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone around the 1300 block of Porter Avenue who may have witnessed some unusual activity Tuesday morning.
