Just before 9:15 PM on December 2, 2021, officers from the Quesnel RCMP were called to a shelter in the 100-block of Carsen Ave for a report that a man had come in, after reportedly being assaulted by another person. The suspect had fled on foot.
When police arrived they found the 36-year-old, Quesnel resident suffering from what appeared to be potentially life threatening injuries. He was transported by BC Ambulance to a local area hospital where he initially treated but has since been transferred to a larger area hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Anyone with information, including dashcam footage, is urged to Quesnel RCMP at 250-992-9211 and cite file 2021-10233.
