Police say at 8:07 AM, Mackenzie RCMP responded to a report of a man walking in the community carrying a firearm.
Police immediately flooded the area looking for the suspect. Out of an abundance of caution and the safety of the people in Mackenzie, two area schools, the Recreation Centre and the mall have all been placed on lockdown.
