The City of Prince George is conducting an operation to replace a broken valve on a water main on Ospika Boulevard between Tyner Boulevard and Davis Road.

The valve and water main were installed in 1997.

Crews are also using the opportunity to upgrade the water infrastructure at the site to improve water service for residents in the area. This project affects the water supply to more than 240 residences in the Charella Garden neighbourhood.

These residences may experience some temporary fluctuations in water pressure during the project.

To allow this important project to proceed, the northbound lanes of Ospika Boulevard between Tyner and Davis have been closed for the duration of construction. The operation is expected to be completed by mid-July.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes when possible and to drive cautiously around road crews.
