QUESNEL, BC: The search for a missing senior in the backcountry has been suspended…

On Thursday, June 17, 2021, Quesnel RCMP received a report that 69 year-old Norman Lawrence had headed out to the Naver Creek area to sight in a rifle. He failed to return.

RCMP, along with Search and Rescue teams from throughout the province, and the Police Dog Services searched the area but were unable to locate Mr. Lawrence.

Search efforts continued throughout the following days but were unsuccessful. In consultation with EMBC and various SAR Managers, the active search has been suspended.
