With a heat wave expected this weekend it might be a good time to get away from the heat the city and head out to a nature park!

Goodsir Nature Park on the Old Summit Lake Rd has reported that the number of visitors has declined compared to this time last year. Below is a message from the park…

“Unfortunately, our park attendance is down 90% compared to this time last year. Does anyone know why people aren’t coming out to visit our beautiful park?

Our park is only 20 minutes from Prince George and offers one of the most unique connections to nature in Canada, not to mention the two indoor museums.

Jim Good, Park Operator, would love for a few more visitors this summer, especially with the dry trails and nice weather. We also offer by donation camping!

If you could share this post to help us spread the word, we’d kindly appreciate it.”

The park is located in the Salmon Valley area on the Old Summit Lake Rd. Google maps will help guide you there! Just type in Goodsir Nature Park.
