PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Police are asking for the public’s help following a robbery at the Nechako Bottle Depot on 1st Avenue…

Police say at approximately 3:30 PM on June 2, 2021, the Prince George RCMP received a report from employees at the business on the 1900 block of 1st Avenue that a male wearing an orange safety jacket and black pants entered the location and bear sprayed an employee and a customer before taking money from a till and leaving the store.

Witnesses observed the male running across 1st Avenue and into the wooded area toward 3rd Avenue. Police Dog Services and Air 3 attended the location to assist frontline members with the search for the male. Police believe the male got into a black Chevrolet Sunfire parked on 3rd Avenue before leaving the area.

“Investigators believe the vehicle may have been spray painted and are looking to speak with anyone who has seen a similar vehicle in Prince George or knows where it may be. If anyone has information on who the male is, they can contact investigators by calling 250-561-3300,” states Cst. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP.

This investigation is ongoing.
