Charges approved against a Fort St. John man following stabbing incident…

FORT ST. JOHN, BC: A Fort St. John man is facing charges following a stabbing incident over the weekend at a home on the 269 Road…

The incident began on April 24 at approximately 3 pm, when officers were notified that a female had been stabbed at the home.

When police arrived, a man barricaded himself inside which prompted a call for assistance from the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team in Prince George.

Several hours later, during the overnight on Sunday, the male was arrested by North District RCMP.

The following charges have been laid against Adrian James Attachie.

• Aggravated Assault
• Uttering Threats and Intimidation

At the time, Attachie was held for court on Monday, April 26, and was remanded in custody until his next court date of May 4, 2021.

The female victim who was stabbed was treated and released from hospital.
