Police are looking for 38-year-old Derrick TURNER after he crashed the vehicle he was driving into the Fitness 4 Life building on 8th Street just before 10 PM on April 5. As a result of the crash, two women inside the building were seriously injured and taken to Dawson Creek Hospital.
If you have any information about where Derrick TURNER may be hiding contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
TURNER has been formally charged with:
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Failing to stop for police
- Leaving the scene of an accident
A warrant of arrest has been issued and police are seeking the public assistance in locating TURNER. If you should see TURNER or know where he is, please call the Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
IIO BC has taken over the investigation to see if police actions caused the suspect to crash into the building. No further news will be provided until the IIO have completed their investigation.
