PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Two suspects were arrested last week after they were caught stealing mail from an apartment building on 15th Avenue in Prince George…

Police say at 3:45 AM on March 10, 2021, the Prince George RCMP received a report of mail theft in progress.

The witness stated to 9-1-1 call takers that they witnessed the suspects get into a taxicab outside of the building. The taxicab was located a short distance away with one of the suspects still inside. Police arrested the suspect for theft and transported them to the Prince George RCMP Detachment. Mail and other items belonging to various people were located on the suspect.

Police found a second suspect down the street from the taxicab. This suspect had a large key ring with various types of keys. Members arrested the second suspect, as well, and transported them to the detachment.

“Both suspects were released with future court dates while police process the evidence and obtain surveillance of the theft,” states Cst. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP.
