PRINCE GEORGE, BC: A man has died after the pickup he was driving left the roadway and rolled west of Prince George Friday morning…
Police say the crash occurred just before 9 AM and involved one vehicle which was located on its roof. When BC Ambulance arrived on scene, members attempted to revive the male driver but were unsuccessful.
Highway 16 West between Hooper Road and Carmel Drive was closed for a few hours and later reopened to alternating traffic late Friday morning. The highway has since reopened to full traffic as of 12:45 PM.
At this time police haven’t said what contributed to the rollover crash, however the highway did experience wet snow and freezing rain on Thursday evening with temperatures dipping below zero.
The name of the deceased is not being released.
