❗PJXM to close its Facebook page on March 1…

Good evening, folks!!

PJXM will be closing its Facebook Page to all Facebook members effective March 1, 2021.

It’s been over ten years since PJXM first started out on Facebook as new way to bring news content to readers in the BC Peace and Prince George regions.

In early 2019, PJXM began posting less news content to Facebook in order to begin preparations to shut the page down at some point in 2021. It had to be gradual so FB members would instead visit the PJXM website to see additional content not posted to FB. It has worked out better than imagined and it took lots of time and patience. You can’t just close the page, that’s bad business.

PJXM dropped advertising on its website in mid 2019 and hasn’t looked back since.

Much has changed and closing the PJXM Facebook page ends a chapter. The page was last used on December 8, 2020.

All content on the PJXM Facebook page will be unpublished. That includes all memories and shared content by members that has occurred over the past 10 years.

News content will continue to be shared on Twitter and written to WordPress for the foreseeable future!

Thanks to everyone who made the PJXM Facebook page a success over the past ten years!
