PRINCE GEORGE, BC: A driver had their vehicle impounded on Wednesday after they were caught speeding twice the posted limit on the Hart…
Police say shortly before 6:30 PM on February 10, 2021, a member of the Prince George Traffic Services Unit pulled over a driver for excessive speed.
The vehicle, a 2020 Ford F-350, was traveling North on the Hart Highway near Kenworth Road East and reached a speed of 134 km/h in a posted 70 km/h zone. The traffic services member pulled over the vehicle, issued the driver a $483 Violation Ticket for excessive speed, and impounded the vehicle for seven days.
“This is just a reminder to drivers that the posted speed limits are reflective of road safety in ideal conditions. It is safe to say that our roads at these temperatures are not ideal. Please slow down so you and the other people on the road with you all arrive home safely,” says Cst. Jennifer Cooper.
