DAWSON CREEK, BC: One person has been sent to a Vancouver area hospital following a vehicle crash on Highway 97 west of Dawson Creek Monday evening…
Police say just after 6 PM, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 97 and Braden Road.
Investigation has determined that a vehicle travelling southbound on the Braden Road failed to come to a stop prior to entering the highway resulting in a collision with two other vehicles.
Roadways were snow-covered and slippery at the time. Serious and life threatening injuries resulted with one of the drivers being air-lifted to Vancouver for urgent treatment. Police did not state how many people were involved in the crash or how many other people were sent to the hospital.
The Dawson Creek RCMP would like to remind drivers to slow down for the current road conditions, give yourself additional time to drive to your location, ensure that your tires have sufficient tread and are rated for driving in the snow, and always wear your seatbelt.
