VANDERHOOF, BC: On Saturday, September 26, 2020 at approximately 6:30 PM, Vanderhoof RCMP responded to a single vehicle fatal collision on Highway 16 near Hillcrest Way, Cluculz Lake, BC, about 40 kilometres east of Vanderhoof.
Prince George Regional Traffic Services (PGRTS) has assumed the conduct of the investigation and police are seeking any additional witnesses and dashboard camera video.
Investigators believe that at least two commercial truck drivers may have had a “near-miss” with the vehicle involved in the fatal collision.
The vehicle involved was a black, 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup with an Alberta licence plate, travelling west on Highway 16 towards Vanderhoof.
The commercial trucks involved are believed to be a westbound bulk transport truck and an eastbound tanker truck.
The drivers of those commercial trucks are asked to contact investigators with any information they may have regarding this vehicle or the collision.
