As of 12 AM, Oct 16, wet snow is falling in the Prince George region.
Environment Canada has issued a Snowfall Warning for the Pine Pass and Tumbler Ridge regions.
Approximately 10 cm of snow, heavy at times is expected during the overnight and into the morning.
For Prince George, rain mixed with snow is expected tonight as well, particularly higher elevations along the Hart Highway.
Snowfall with total amounts of about 10 cm is expected.
Heavy wet snow is expected tonight and tomorrow morning.
A Pacific low pressure system is forecast to move across the central interior tonight bringing snow to the region this evening. The snow may be initially mixed with rain before intensifying later this evening. Accumulations will be generally near 10 cm but could exceed that amount over higher terrain, especially near Tumbler Ridge. The snow will end late Friday morning as the low moves into Alberta.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
