PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Advance registration for indoor walking at the CN Centre is now available. Pedestrians can sign up to use the facility’s concourse for walking when it re-opens on October 19.

The popular walking sessions are back following Prince George City Council’s decision at the October 5 Council meeting to restore limited ice access and modified service at the CN Centre. Civic facilities were closed earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indoor walking will only be offered on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 8:30am until 4:00pm in one-and-a-half-hour blocks. The concourse will be closed for half an hour between each block to allow for cleaning and sanitization. On-site signs will provide direction to visitors and instructions on how to practice physical distancing and other health measures.

No drop-ins are allowed because of health and safety regulations. Visitors will need to register their session ahead of time due to provincially-mandated limits on the number of guests allowed in civic buildings.

Registration can be done:

Visitors can register from two days in advance up to an hour before a session opens.

For last-minute (i.e. one hour before the start of a session) registrations, check for available spots by phoning 3-1-1 or by visiting www.princegeorge.ca/register.
