PRINCE GEORGE, BC: One person has died following a serious crash on Northwood Pulpmill Road Monday evening…
Police say at approximately 7:40 PM, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a possible impaired driver on Northwood Pulpmill Road in Prince George.
A few minutes later, police received a report of a collision at the intersection of Northwood Pulpmill Road and Noranda Road in Prince George. Initial reports were that a car collided with a tractor-trailer and was on fire.
Officers and other emergency services attended the scene and confirm the driver of the car was deceased.
The BC Coroners Service has been notified and is conducting a parallel fact-finding investigation to confirm identity and cause of death. The identity of the deceased will not be released.
Witness accounts and evidence at the scene indicate that the driver of the car was at fault. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not physically harmed.
