PRINCE GEORGE, BC: At approximately 2:15 AM on Thursday September 17, 2020, the Prince George RCMP received multiple reports from the public of shots fired on Upland Street near 20 Avenue in Prince George.

Frontline officers attended the area and located an adult male with a single gunshot wound.  The man was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Through investigation, officers believe that three people were walking together on Upland Street and had a verbal interaction with two males on bikes.  At least one of the two cyclists pulled out a handgun and fired towards the others, striking one of them.  The cyclists fled before police were called.  At this time, it is not believed that the victims knew the suspects.

A police Dog Service team assisted other officers in searching for the suspects, however none were located.

There is no evidence to indicate that this shooting is related to any other recent incident.  The investigation is continuing.

If you have any information about this serious Criminal offence, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477.
