PRINCE GEORGE, BC: A female has died after she was stabbed late Thursday night in downtown Prince George…
Police say at approximately 10:00 PM on July 2, 2020, officers received a report of a stabbing that occurred on the 300 block of George Street, in front of the Prince George Courthouse.
Officers arrived on scene immediately and found a 26 year-old female suffering from what appeared to be at least one stab wound.
Members administered first aid until paramedics arrived on scene. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment. Officers secured the area and the Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit was called in to lead the investigation.
Earlier this morning, the victim passed away in hospital as a result of the injuries she sustained.
Details are still being worked out as investigation is in the early stages. Significant resources have been deployed to assist and investigators wish to speak to anyone that may have witnessed the incident.
