QUESNEL, BC: A logging truck driver sustained minor injuries after his trailer was struck by a freight train near Dunkley Lumber, north of Quesnel on Wednesday…
On June 10, 2020, at approximately 11:35 AM, Quesnel RCMP responded to Navers Creek Road, approximately 200 meters east of Highway 97, for a motor vehicle collision. The investigation revealed an eastbound loaded logging truck was crossing a marked rail crossing when a southbound freight train collided with the trailer.
As a result of the collision, the logging truck and trailer flipped onto it’s side, spilling the load of logs into the ditch. The driver of the truck was transported by ambulance with minor injuries.
Navers Creek Road and the CN Rail line were shut down for a short period of time to clear the debris from the roadway.
CN Rail Police attended the scene and took over the investigation.
