WILLIAMS LAKE, BC: Five suspects including two youths were arrested following a robbery at the 150 Mile House Husky Wednesday morning…

Police say on May 13, 2020, just before 4:30 AM, four suspects wearing balaclavas and armed with a weapon forcibly removed an ATM machine from the store while another suspect sat in a black truck. The driver fled with the ATM while four others fled in a second vehicle.

Police quickly identified the second vehicle and attempted to stop the suspects but the driver fled down a rural road.

Police strategically set up containment of the area and conducted a search. A few hours later at approximately 6:50 AM, officers located the second vehicle and the suspects hiding in the brush attempting to camouflage themselves and the vehicle.

In total, five people were arrested without incident and held in custody. One adult is a prolific offender and is well known to the Williams Lake RCMP.

The black truck and ATM machine have since been recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
