Police say on February 23, a report came in of an unknown male who stole a large quantity of meat, cheese and ice cream products from a refrigerated trailer parked at 9304 86th Street for the BC Winter Games.

Police have reason to believe the theft occurred between 1:30 AM andΒ 2:00 AM,Β with the suspect walking awayΒ toward Toboggan Park.

The Fort St. John RCMP is requesting that anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time or if they have any details regarding the suspect or the whereabouts of the meat products to please contact the RCMP.

“This was a targeted theft,” said lead investigator, Cst Josh Cullen. “If anyone hears about or knows someone suddenly possessing a large amount of meat or is trying to sell it, call us.”

The Fort St. John RCMP continue to investigate and is asking anyone with information in this matter to contact Cst CULLEN with the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
