WILLIAMS LAKE, BC: One man has been charged following an incident involving a firearm over the weekend in Williams Lake…

Police say on February 16, just before 12 AM, officers responded to a report of a dispute on Midnight Avenue. When an officer arrived on scene, they witnessed a man exit a home with a firearm pointed towards an occupied vehicle.

The officer engaged with the suspect, who fled back into the residence. Throughout the morning of February 17, officers had three individuals removed from the residence for safety and continued to attempt to negotiate with the suspect.

At approximately 2:15 AM, the suspect was taken into custody without incident and the residence was secured and a firearm was recovered.

The accused, Dylan Marcel LULUA, 26, from the Williams Lake area, has been charged with Pointing a Firearm and Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace.

LULUA, appeared before a Judicial Justice of the Peace and was released on an order with strict conditions.

The Williams Lake RCMP continue to focus on the compliance and enforcement of these conditions attached to the accused. There were no injuries. The RCMP would like to thank the community for cooperating and remaining out of the area through out the incident.
