Police say at approximately 6:30 AM on December 20, officers responded to a 911 call involving two individuals who were arguing at a home located on Juniper Street.
Upon arrival, officers entered the home and found three individuals smoking meth. Three officers found themselves caught in the midst of it all and were exposed to the smoke and became ill. As a precaution the officers were sent to hospital and later released. The individuals who started this file were separated.
On Christmas Day, at approximately 3 PM, officers were called to a Mental Health ACT (MHA) incident involving a teenaged female. For the teens safety, she was arrested under the MHA for assessment.
While at the hospital, the female became aggressive towards RCMP and ended up biting an officer to the point of drawing blood. An assault on a police officer investigation is underway.
On December 28, an officer conducting CounterAttack patrols executed a traffic stop with a vehicle on Massey Drive.
When the officer approached the vehicle, the woman driver and two occupants appeared to be intoxicated. The officer asked the driver for her licence and was refused. When asked for her name she also refused. The driver then opened the door and tried to get past the officer, assaulting him in the process..
Next, one of the passengers, the driver’s 20 year-old daughter, got out and attempted to kick the officer in the groin. She was arrested. The 41 year-old driver was also arrested and taken to the detachnent for a breath sample. She failed and had no valid licence.
During the early morning hours of December 29, officers responded to a report of a suspect on a bike breaking into vehicles on Sanderson Road.
Officers located a man matching the description provided in a driveway of a home. During the conversation, the male suspect swung a bag at the officer, striking him in the head. The suspect then fled on foot. A search of the area was conducted but the suspect was not found. The officer was not seriously hurt.
