Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for the Prince George, Bulkley Valley and the Lakes, Quesnel and Williams Lake as Freezing Rain is in the forecast for Monday…
Environment Canada says an Arctic cold front moved in Saturday night dropping the temperature and some light snow. Chilly temperatures will remain for Sunday but warmer air is moving in for Monday afternoon.
A Pacific warm front will bring warm moist air that will ride over the cold arctic air on Monday. Freezing rain or ice pellets are expected to develop over the Bulkley Valley and the Lakes, Prince George and Cariboo regions Monday afternoon and last through Monday evening. Freezing rain and ice pellets will likely spread to other regions of the Central Interior on Monday night.
Freezing rain and ice pellets are forecast to change to rain or showers on Tuesday over the Central Interior and to snow or flurries over the northern interior.
We will update as new forecasts become available.
