On Friday October 4, 2019 at approximately 11:20 PM, two males were involved in a physical altercation near the intersection of 20th Avenue and Redwood Street in Prince George.
As a result of this incident, 35 year-old Gregory Wale suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital for medical attention. Shortly after arrival at the hospital, Wale left on his own accord prior to receiving medical attention.
Just before 7:00 PM on Saturday October 5, 2019, Wale was located deceased at his residence on Edmonton Street in Prince George. The cause of death is believed to be related to the altercation.
The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit were called in to lead the investigation. Attempts to locate the person responsible for the injuries are underway, however he is yet to be identified.
Investigators believe that many persons witnessed this altercation and are asking them to come forward and provide information.
