PRINCE GEORGE, BC: On Friday August 16, 2019, frontline officers from the Prince George RCMP were called by a concerned citizen who believed he saw a stolen vehicle being driven near Highway 16 and Sykes Road, in the southwest corner of Prince George.
Officers attended the area and located the stolen vehicle at a residential property off Highway 16. The vehicle was occupied by a 57 year-old Prince George man who was arrested and held pending investigation.
Police officers observed several items on the property they believed to have been stolen. A Search Warrant was sought and later executed at the property. In addition to the stolen vehicle, police seized hundreds of other items, including tools, vehicle parts, pet supplies, lawn mowers, a generator and vehicle tires & rims. Five flat deck tow truck loads as well as a cargo van full of property was taken from the scene with an estimated value of more than $50,000.
Investigators are attempting to locate the rightful owners of all the stolen property. This is expected to take some time.
