PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Police are continuing to investigate following a late night stabbing in downtown Prince George…
On Sunday August 18, 2019 at approximately 11:00 PM, frontline officers from the Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing near the corner of 3rd Avenue and George Street in Prince George.
On arrival to the scene, officers located an adult male suffering from injuries consistent with being stabbed. Officers administered first aid until paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment.
A portion of George Street was closed for a period of time as evidence was gathered. The suspect was not located and is believed to have fled the area on a bike before emergency services were called.
Investigators believe this was a targeted attack involving the drug trade. The victim has been uncooperative with police.
Although no arrests have yet been made, the investigation is continuing. The victim is expected to recover.
