As of 12 pm, the Hwy has since reopened following the incident. Police say no further information will be released and the incident has been resolved.

Police say at approximately 9:30 AM on Thursday August 15, 2019, the Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a man with a firearm at a residence on Highway 97 near Christopher Drive, at the north end of Prince George city limits.
A portion of the highway will be closed while officers work to resolve the situation. Traffic control professionals are enroute to the area to detour traffic. Police are asking the public to avoid the area until further notice.
