PRINCE GEORGE, BC: At approximately 10:30 AM on the morning of Monday June 17, 2019, the Prince George RCMP, with the assistance of the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Chilako Avenue in Prince George. The search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking at the residence.
Throughout the morning and before police attended, a number of people arrived and departed the residence in vehicles. In all, nine adult suspects were arrested in three vehicles. When the third vehicle was pulled over by frontline officers, one of the passengers was identified as 38 year old Eric Vern WEST.
WEST was wanted on a number of charges stemming from a shooting incident that occurred in Prince George earlier this spring. The shooting occurred on the 2200 block of Quince Street on April 5, 2019. WEST was arrested without incident. Search of the vehicle found a quantity of drugs and a firearm. WEST made a court appearance Monday.
The search of the residence found ammunition and drug trafficking paraphernalia. All remaining suspects have been released pending further investigation.
