Stolen Vehicle recovered following incident in Quesnel…

QUESNEL, BC: On Monday June 10, 2019 at approximately 7:05 AM, Quesnel RCMP responded to a complaint of an altercation outside an apartment on Abbott Drive where a vehicle was also stolen.

Shortly thereafter, police located the stolen vehicle; a Blue Honda Civic, being driven at high speeds along Lewis Drive in Quesnel. Police attempted to stop the vehicle but the vehicle failed to stop and continued to drive in such a dangerous manner that no pursuit was initiated.

Police patrolled the area and located the stolen vehicle unoccupied in an Alley between Winder St. and Willis St. The vehicle sustained some body damage, believed to be from hitting a curb. No other damage was reported as a result of this theft.

Police are currently processing the vehicle for forensic evidence. If anyone has video surveillance and observed this vehicle or anyone on foot near this vehicle in the area of Winder St. and Willis St. they are asked to call Quesnel RCMP to speak with the investigator.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
