Fatal crash claims one life near Dawson Creek…

DAWSON CREEK, BC: One person has died following a serious crash Wednesday morning near Dawson Creek…

Police say at approximately 7:50 AM, officers responded to the fatal collision near Roads 229 and 235, west of Dawson Creek on Highway 97.

Investigation reveals that a Ford F-550 service truck and a Jeep Cherokee collided. The lone driver of the Jeep, a 59 year-old female died in the crash. The driver of the service truck, a 36 year-old male, sustained minor injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by Peace Region Traffic Services (PRTS), the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service and the BC Coroners’ Service and nothing has been ruled out.

Anyone with information regarding this collision who has not spoken with police is asked to call PRTS in Dawson Creek at 250-784-3700, citing file 2019-3847.
