RCMP investigating vehicle fires in Fort St. John…

FORT ST. JOHN, BC: Police in Fort St. John are asking for the public’s help with two arson fires that left three vehicles damaged on April 28…

Police say the first fire occurred on the 10100 block of 114A Street. Witnesses to this fire say a man was seen pouring an accelerant on a 2014 white Ford pickup truck. The fire destroyed the truck and damaged a nearby 2016 Nissan.

The suspect male was seen getting into the passenger side of a newer black Chevrolet Silverado which left southbound on 100th St.

The second instance occurred shortly thereafter on the 8500 block of 86th Street. Officers attended to find a burning 2003 grey Pontiac Grand Am. Evidence of an accelerant was located on scene.

Both fires were started between 9:30 PM and 10 PM.

The Fort St. John RCMP is continuing to investigate and is asking anyone who has information about these incidents or can assist in identifying a possible suspect(s), please contact the Fort St John RCMP at 250-787-8100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
