One man injured during Home Invasion…

PRINCE GEORGE, BC: One person was injured during a Home Invasion Thursday afternoon…

Police say on March 28, 2019 at approximately 5:30 PM, officers responded to a report of a Home Invasion Assault at an address in the Pineview area.

Initial indication was that an unknown male entered the residence, assaulted and knocked the lone male occupant unconscious, and then fled the scene. Multiple officers attended the area including a Police Dog Service team. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was checked by paramedics but refused a trip the hospital when asked by the RCMP.

As a result of the victim being knocked out, investigators believe that a time delay occurred before police were called and the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as:

  • First Nations
  • 6’0″ tall
  • 250 lbs.
  • Black messy hair with some facial hair
  • Wearing black sunglasses, a dark hoody, cargo pants and a large backpack

Although the motive for this incident is not yet known, it is possible that the suspect broke into the residence and was startled by the victim.

If you have any information about this incident, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
