Update… Snowfall Warning for Prince George and Vanderhoof regions…

UPDATE: Snowfall accumulations between 5 and 10 cm of snow mixed with rain. As of Monday March 11.

Winter conditions are expected for the Prince George region beginning tonight. Freezing rain is also possible this evening. Temperatures will rise Monday afternoon and snow will change to rain within city limits. This same forecast is for the Pine Pass as issued earlier Sunday.

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected.

A frontal system crossing BC will bring heavy snow to eastern section of Bulkley Valley and the Lakes region including Fort St. James, Prince George, Yellowhead, the McGregor and Williston regions, including Highway 97 – Pine Pass.

Snow will begin this evening and continue through Monday. Snow is expected to ease Monday evening.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
