UPDATE: Travel Advisories have ended and Extreme Cold Warning has ended for Prince George.
Windy conditions have prompted Environment Canada to issue an Extreme Cold Warning for Prince George, Quesnel and the BC Peace.
Wind gusts are expected to gust up to 60 km Friday afternoon causing very cold windchill values down to minus 33. Tonight, windchill values down to minus 42.
Travel Advisories remain in effect for Hwy 16 West of Prince George to Bednesti and for Hwy 97 to Mackenzie Junction. Remember that strong wind causes very icy road conditions as sand will not stick to the snow in such cold temperatures, such as the case for Hwy 16 West.
