QUESNEL, BC: The West Quesnel Evacuation Alert remains in effect. The current weather forecast is
favourable for the north side of the Narcosli Creek fire. Winds are expected to blow towards the south.
If the current weather continues, the fire crews may attempt a back burn on the north side of the fire. The crews are hoping to build fire guards on the north side as well.

Any new alerts or orders affecting City properties will be provided directly from the City of Quesnel. The City will continue to provide updates as information is available at http://www.quesnel.ca/eoc.

Narcosli Creek Wildfire update for Aug 11…
As for the Narcosli Creek wildfire, there was minimal growth on this fire overnight. Ground crews worked on the south and eastern flanks yesterday. Night operations with heavy equipment worked throughout the night and crews are continuing to build guard on the western flank, working towards the northern flank, states BC Wildfire Service. 75 crews and four helicopters along with ground equipment continue to fight the fire.
Quesnel ESS update
The Quesnel ESS will not be providing services as long as there is an alert in effect in the City of Quesnel.
ESS services will be provided in Prince George if required.
Moffat Bridge Update
The maintenance work scheduled for the Moffat Bridge has been cancelled.
