Just before 1:30 PM on Thursday, officers were called to a residence in the 4500-block of Scott Avenue for a report of a woman screaming, “Call 9-1-1.”

Upon attendance, RCMP located a 33 year-old woman outside the residence. She was suffering from serious but non-life threatening injuries. A 59 year-old woman was located deceased, inside the residence.

A 30 year-old female was arrested at the scene and remains in custody. The women are all known to each other and police believe this to be an isolated incident.

The Terrace RCMP General Investigation Section is continuing to investigate, with support from the North District Major Crime Unit and the Forensic Identification Section.
