Two vehicle crash sends one to Vancouver for treatment…

FORT ST. JOHN, BC: One person has been flown to a Vancouver area hospital following a serious two vehicle incident Thursday evening in Fort St. John…

Police say at approximately 5:15 PM, officers responded to the crash scene on the 259 Road that involved a boom lift and a pickup truck.

Investigation reveals that the driver of the pickup truck rear-ended the boom lift trapping the man inside the boom lift. BC Ambulance and Fire Rescue were attending to the injured upon police arrival. The injured man was initially unresponsive and rushed to hospital where he was flown to Vancouver for treatment. He is now listed in stable condition after surgery.

The cause of the collision is undetermined at this time but the police suspect distracted driving may have been a factor.
