UPDATE: RCMP and SAR have suspended the official search for a man believed to have fallen into the river near Kinuseo Falls as of June 12.
After an extensive search conducted both on water with jet boats and in the air with a helicopter and a fixed wing aircraft, officials have suspended the search.
SAR Officials plan to return to the area to search once the river levels are safe to do so. At this time the condition of the river is hampering any further search efforts at this time.
TUMBLER RIDGE, BC: RCMP and Search and Rescue are currently searching for a man who may have ended up in the Murray River near Tumbler Ridge on Sunday…
Police say at approximately 6:31 AM, Tumbler Ridge RCMP was advised of a missing camper near the river at Kinuseo Falls.
A 29 year-old-man was camping with friends when it is believed he may have gone into the river.
Search and Rescue was immediately called to the scene, including a swift water trained team. Along with the RCMP a search was conducted. Personal belongings believed to belong to the missing Dawson Creek man were found, however, the man has not been located.
The search continues today with multiple trained personal on site, including four jet boats that are searching the Murray River, the RCMP helicopter and Police Dog Services.
