PRINCE RUPERT, BC: Police in Prince Rupert are asking for the public’s help with information on a man’s death…
Police say at approximately 7 PM Friday evening, an officer working in the Fulton Street area was notified by a resident that a man was found laying on the sidewalk unconscious.
The officer attended the scene and immediately began CPR on the 59 year-old who was not breathing. BC Ambulance and Fire crews arrived and took over the scene After several attempts to resuscitate, the man was pronounced dead.
Police are asking for witnesses to come forward. If you were around the 600 block of Fulton Street around 7 PM and saw anything suspicious, contact the RCMP at 250-624-2136.
The cause of the death is unknown at this point; however, the Prince Rupert RCMP continue to investigate this matter in partnership with the BC Provincial Coroner Service.
