PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Updated Thursday: A 23 year-old man has been arrested in this incident. Police continue to search for more suspects.
One person was taken to hospital in unknown condition following a shooting Tuesday morning on Queensway Street..
Police say at approximately 8:01 AM, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a possible shooting at a monthly rental motel on the 1600 block of Queensway in Prince George.
Officers began arriving in the area within minutes. Upon arrival, an adult male was located suffering from what was believed to be a gunshot wound. Suspects fled the area before police arrived on scene.
Officers called for assistance from the North District RCMP using Air 4 to locate the suspects but had no luck. At this time, those responsible remain at large. This incident was targeted and police do not believe the general public is at risk. Many police resources remain actively investigating this incident, however the area is open to full traffic.
The victim was transported to hospital for treatment.
