PRINCE GEORGE, BC: On Thursday April 19, 2018 at approximately 6:00 PM, members from the Prince George Municipal RCMP, with assistance from the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) and RCMP Air Services, executed a search warrant in the 2700 block of Range Road in Prince George.

This investigation focused on drug trafficking and due to the risk assessment, ERT was required to ensure everyone’s safety. Evidence found in the residence including a quantity of methamphetamine and two sawed off rifles, support the continuing investigation of the suspected drug trafficking.

During the entry to the residence, a bed in one of the bedrooms caught fire, however the ERT was able to quickly extinguish the flames. Prince George Fire Rescue attended to ensure there was no further danger to the residence. Unfortunately, due to the initial concern over the fire, nearby neighbouring residences had to be evacuated. The Prince George RCMP would like to thank those residents for their cooperation and apologize for the inconvenience this caused them.
