DAWSON CREEK, BC: Police in Dawson Creek are once again reminding motorists to use common sense around school buses with amber and red lights flashing…
Recently, officers have received numerous complaints of vehicles failing to stop for school buses while picking up and dropping off students within the Dawson Creek area.

“Failing to stop for a school bus with its lights flashing is not only dangerous but also puts children’s lives at risk. Motorists need to understand that the safety precautions are put in place to protect everyone on the road and that ensuring the safety of children getting on and off the bus is part of our efforts to make our roads safer,” states Cst. EKKEL of the Dawson Creek RCMP.
