Suspects ram stolen truck into walls of Totem Mall…

FORT ST. JOHN, BC: The RCMP has released details on an incident which occurred at the Totem Mall on Monday…

Police say at 3:22 AM, officers received a report of an alarm at the Totem Mall. Officers immediately attended the mall to find 3 large holes in the exterior wall.

Officers were able to view video surveillance that showed what appeared to be a 1 tonne single cab pick-up flat deck reversing into the mall wall several times, then two individuals enter the holes but fortunately no access was gained into the mall and nothing was believed to be taken.

Police are speculating the suspects were attempting to gain access to the jewelry store inside the mall, but again were not successful.

Investigation revealed that the pickup used in this crime was stolen sometime previously that night and is a Grey 2002 Ford Flat Deck with BC Licence Plate LV5921, which has not yet been recovered.
