KEREMEOS, BC: A marijuana dispensary has been shut down after RCMP learned youth had allegedly obtained pot from a business in Cawston, BC …
On Friday, police executed a search warrant at the Amber Light Compassion Club located in the 600 block of Coulthard Road in Cawston.
Three people were located inside the business at the time of the search. A male was taken into custody.
Police located and seized approximately 20 lbs of dried marijuana, a quantity of hash, pills, lotions, balms, and oils.
“After learning that local youths had allegedly obtained marijuana from the dispensary, we immediately launched an investigation which led to the arrest and seizures,” stated Cpl. Brian Evans of the Keremeos RCMP. “We view our actions as appropriate and necessary in responding to public complaints received and initiated the resulting investigation.”
Drug charges are pending against the man arrested.
