PRINCE GEORGE, BC: A suspect has turned himself into police after he was caught on surveillance damaging a bank machine with a hammer back in December…
Police say on December 7, 2017, the Prince George RCMP received a report of Mischief and Attempted Theft to a ATM at a local bank on the 3100 block of Massey Drive in Prince George.
Officers attended and located a severely damaged drive-thru bank machine. No money was taken. Surveillance images were obtained and show a suspect with a hammer attempting to gain access to the machine at approximately 3:30 AM that same day.
Investigators were not able to identify the suspect until releasing the images to the public earlier today. Since the man turned himself in, photos will not be published.
Shortly after the images were released, a 38 year-old Prince George man attended the Prince George Detachment and turned himself in. He was arrested and subsequently released with a court date in March 2018.
The Prince George RCMP want to thank those persons that assisted with this investigation.
