Update 1: Estimated time for opening is now around 7 AM. Expect delays.

Motorists be advised for the morning commute that Highway 16 is currently CLOSED approximately 15 km west of the city due to a serious collision that occurred just after midnight.

There is no detour and the highway could reopen at 6 AM, in time for the morning commute.
